Golden Matki Pot- Diya Candle Lantern

Matki Water Pot:

A Matki or Matli is a small-sized water pot that is the most commonly used utensil in our Indian Kitchen. Generally, this pot is used to store water on summer days which helps to remove the heat from the water inside, thus making the water inside cooler than the outside temperature.

The Matki is traditionally made of earthen clay but with time journey artisans made this pot in many other materials also.

Matki Lantern Pot

Inspired by the shape of the Matki, our artisan created a pot in a wrought iron sheet with perforated Jhali artwork. Generally, this craft is designed as a Tea-light Candle Holder but we can also use this as a flower vase or just a showpiece. 

For Lighting, we can use T-Light candles, Pillar candles, and Oil Lamp Diya. We also decorate this pot with electronic fairy lights.

Handcrafted in Rajasthan

This is handcrafted by the local artisans of the west region of Rajasthan. This craft is made out of the wrought iron sheet with metallic black, golden, and copper polish. With the fusion of these three color coatings, artisans add a little vintage and heritage finish to this.

Care Instruction.

Please do not use water or any chemical-based cleaner to clean this pot. We can use any dry cotton cloth or tissue paper to clean the inside and outer area of the pot. We can add a little glossy shine to this by using wax polish on the outer surface.
